MEMBERSHIP

Cape Fear River Rowing Club (CFRRC) welcomes all ages and types of rowers. If you have never rowed before, you must take our Learn-to-Row course and join our novice team. Once your technique progresses, you move to an intermediate/advanced team. For members who are interested, CFRRC participates in several regattas each year.

Practices typically take place one to two weekday mornings at 5:45am and on Saturday and/or Sunday at 6:30am for intermediate/advanced and 8am for novices. All practices are weather-dependent, and safety is always our first priority.

Annual membership dues are $650 with additional costs for regattas and personal boat storage.

The Importance of the Coxswain

Crew is a unique sport in that the success of the team depends on everyone working together as one. Rowers and coxswains trust and depend on each other, and as a result, form close bonds.

Cape Fear River Rowing Club is a masters crew club looking for people who can be available on a rotating basis to cox boats of 8 or 4 rowers. We practice in the early morning and often see the sun rise.  We row year-round and compete in a few regional regattas (spring season) and head races (fall season) each year. Contact us to learn more!
