Are you a former CFRRC member?\n\n\n\nCape Fear River Rowing Club (CFRRC) has been on the water since 1990\, and we are always looking for people who know what swing feels like. Whether you rowed in high school\, college\, at another club\, or were once a CFRRC member yourself\, we want to connect with you. It doesn’t matter if it’s been two years or twenty\, this is your invitation to come see what rowing looks like as an adult member of a masters club. \n\n\n\nNo pressure\, no commitment. Come tour the boathouse\, meet some of our members\, ask every question you have\, and see whether the water might be calling you back. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to expect \n\n\n\nWhat’s happening at the boathouse that day. \n\n\n\nArrive anytime for boathouse tours & rowing conversations \n\n\n\nCome whenever works for you between 10 and Noon. Current club members will be on-site throughout the morning. There’s no need to stay the full two hours. Drop in for as long as you’d like. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBoathouse tours \n\n\n\nWalk out on our dock\, see the fleet\, and get a feel for how the club operates. \n\n\n\n\n\nMeet the members \n\n\n\nAsk our members anything about practice schedules\, regattas\, our social events\, and anything else you want to know. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMembership information \n\n\n\nLearn how to join us for a no-obligation guest row\, ask about the path from guest rower to member\, and hear details about our annual dues. \n\n\n\n\n\nLight brunch \n\n\n\nOur concurrent Learn to Row session wraps up between 11-11:30. Join us for casual food and conversation with our LTR participants\, families\, and fellow guests. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHO SHOULD COME \n\n\n\nThis event is especially for you if… \n\n\n\n\n\nFormer Rower \n\n\n\nYou rowed in high school or college \n\n\n\nWhether it’s been a few years or a few decades\, your muscle memory is still there. Masters rowing is where a lot of former collegiate and scholastic rowers land – and stay. \n\n\n\n\n\nFormer Coxswain \n\n\n\nYou coxed and miss the boat \n\n\n\nCoxswains are always in demand at masters clubs. If you steered crews and loved every minute of it\, we’d love to have that conversation. \n\n\n\n\n\nFormer Member \n\n\n\nYou rowed with CFRRC before \n\n\n\nLife gets busy and time on the water gets squeezed out. If you’ve been away from the club and are wondering whether it’s time to come back\, this morning is for you. \n\n\n\n\n\nNew to Rowing \n\n\n\nYou’ve never rowed but you’re curious \n\n\n\nThe Open House is welcoming to anyone. Drive through the gate and head straight down the driveway toward the river. Park diagonally in the grass along the right side of the driveway. Please park closely together so we can maximize the number of vehicles in that space. Walk down the driveway toward the river and you’ll see our boatyard up on the knoll. \n\n\n\nOverflow parking is available in a small gravel lot inside the gate area. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nattire \n\n\n\n\n\nDress casually.
